Barbara Burgess-Van Aken, PhD, Professor Emeritus of the Department of English, CWRU will provide insights into the book and lead the discussion. Clear pulses like the waves surrounding a remote northern island. The delicate introspection, the conflicts, and the evolution of Ivar and John and Mary Ferguson churn like the windswept landscape which envelops them.
