Lecture Day
The Grazella Shepherd Lecture Day, named for the founder of the General Education Division of Cleveland College in 1939, is held annually in the fall and features a topic of current interest. The format consists of two speakers, experts in their field, presenting in the morning, followed by lunch and a question and answer period presided over by a knowledgeable moderator who organizes questions from the audience.
A diligent and well-read Committee chooses the topic each year. Recent topics have included countries, such as Syria, China, Iran, Turkey, and topics such as Sustainability, Water and Climate-Change.
This Fall we must alter our usual format and Lecture Day will be presented via zoom.
